Ever since I started making models, I always wanted to create a human. It was the pinnacle of 3D for me. This was my most faithful creation s far. I was modelled after a drawing of a friend of mine, which can be seen in the picture. A single perspective drawing wouldn't be enough for me to work with, so I also used a more generic female anatomy drawing for the side views.
The all-star shoes are just a photo projected onto the mesh, but it works pretty well for distant shots and would serve to decrease polygon count as a game asset.
The hair was made using multiple hair particle systems on top of each other along with the brush tool.
