Just Wine (2021)

Study on refractive indexes to differentiate between glasses and liquids. The wine material also required volume absorption to faithfully depict the gradual darkening of the drink as it got closer to the bottom of the glass.
The adhesion forces between the particles of the wine and the surface of the glass are also depicted by the slightly higher level of the outer limits of the liquid in direct contact with it.
At first, for this project, I tried to work with MantaFlow simulations for the fluid, but it turned out that they would require too much resolution and wouldn't make much of a difference in comparison to just using a solid object with proper editing and a good materials. I usually prefer physically accurate methods, but I'm still limited by my computer's perfomance.
